But with the proper instructions, it's a job well-suited to the do-it-yourselfer. Difficulty:Moderate Instructions Things You'll Need Phillips screwdriver Socket set, 10mm socket, extension Step by Step : 1 Fold down the rear seat in your Sante Fe. Empty any goods or gear out of the rear compartment, and then remove the cargo cover, cargo net, floor mat and carpet from the rear compartment. 2 Remove the two screws from the rear scuff plate where the rear hatch closes, using a Phillips screwdriver. Pull up firmly or pry up the plate and remove it. 3 Use a 10 mm socket, ratchet and extension to take out the 10 mm bolts that hold each of the cargo net anchors in place. Remove the cargo net anchors after you've taken out the bolts. 4 Remove the cover over the rear side compartment by first prying out the three push pins holding it place. Pry under the push pins to pop them out. 5 Pull the rear hatch gasket, the rubber seal around the rear hatch, away from the edge of the rear right side panel. Then grasp the side panel and pull it away from the car body until it's far enough away that you can access the speaker. 6 Remove the four Phillips screws holding the speaker in place. Pull out the speaker, disconnect the wiring plug and remove it from the car. 7 Plug your new speaker into the wiring, insert it in the opening, and screw it in place. Test the speaker's operation by turning on the stereo. Reassemble the cargo area by reversing your steps.
